1800s Inlaid Wood Box

Small antique inlaid wood box

This wooden box is a woodworkers delight. Dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s, it is made up of many types and shades of wood. The top has a center madallion with a star bordered with a band of various woods and another border around the edge of the top. Each side of the box appears to be made from a different wood. The escutcheon appears to be satinwood with another inlay. This little box measures approx. 7" wide, 4 1/2" front to back, and 3" tall. The workmanship is exceptional.
