Small Antique Rosewood Tea Caddy

Small antique English rosewood tea caddy

Small antique rosewood tea caddy. This pretty little tea caddy dates to the mid to late 1800s. Rosewood was the most desirable material at that time. The escutcheon appears to be handcut brass in a flower shape. The bun feet also appear to be brass. The interior lids are missing - but, there are remnents of the original foil lining the tea bins. This tea caddy measures approx. 7" wide, 4 1/4" front to back, and 4 1/2" tall. The patina of the wood is beautiful. This little tea caddy has been well used and is not in prestine condition - but is very pretty.
