Antique Staffordshire Drabware Relief Moulded Jug made by Jones & Walley. The title of the design is the "Good Samaritan". This jug was made between 1841 and 1843. Identifying information about the design and maker are on the bottom. (Published Nov 1, Jones & Walley, Cobridge, Good Samaritan 12)
This jug is very ornate and beautifully moulded. It measures approx. 8 1/4" tall, 7 1/4" wide at the handle, and 4 3/4" wide across the base. As with most jugs of this type and age, the exterior is unglazed and the interior is glazed.
