December 2009
Antiques On The Square Storefront Decorated With Christmas Trees

Hi!

Welcome to our December newsletter!

December is a special time of the year to be in Madison, Georgia. Homeowners and businesses alike celebrate the holidays with special events and decorations. At night, the entire town looks like fantasy land with all the twinkling lights and beautifully decorated homes.

The Bicentennial Holiday Home Tour was this past week end. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the 4 day tour had over 400 volunteer helpers and over 3000 guests taking the tours. The Chamber's records show it was the largest holiday home tour in the state of Georgia. Quite an accomplishment for a town of this size!

Our next home tour in May will be a 2 day tour sponsored by the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center.

Also, this past Thursday, the Madison- Morgan Cultural Center was host to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for the 31st straight year. Held in the historic late 1800s auditorium that seats less than 300 people, it was incredible. Experiencing the sound of the Symphony in such an intimate setting is a chance of a lifetime.

Mark your calendar early for next year and watch our events notices at the bottom of our newsletter!

For those of you who visited us, you already know our Holiday Open House was a huge success and fun for all.

There will be many new items on our website - please click to view our inventory:
Register To Win This Grove Christmas Tree Platter By Spode -

Large Spode Christmas Tree Platter

Most of the shops in downtown Madison are taking part in a special bicentennial holiday promotion. Each participating shop has a designated raffle item.

Our raffle item is this absolutely beautiful new Spode platter. It is a new design with the traditional Spode Christmas tree center. The border is a combination of a colorful floral design and the brown border design that is part of the very popular Spode Woodland collection. This platter blends very well with the Woodland collection. Actually, it makes a statement all by itself!

Please visit our shop to register. No purchase necessary and you do not need to be present to win.

The drawings for all the shops are scheduled for December 19th. Each shop has a designated time. Our drawing will be held at 12:30 p.m.
