Small antique English Staffordshire soup tureen with lid and underplate. The pottery mark on the bottom of the tureen lists the maker as W & B - probably Wood and Brownfield. This set probably dates to the late 1800s. The transferware pattern is the traditional blue and white Blue Willow. We found this set together in England. They look good together - but, we're not sure if they started life together. The underplate measures approx. 4 3/4" by 7 1/2" and the tureen measures approx. 7 1/2" long by 4 3/4" tall, and 4 1/2" front to back at the widest point of the lid.
